This project is located at Southeast corner of Okatie Hwy & Argent Blvd in Ridgeland, South Carolina. It included demolition of an existing building, removal of the existing fuel tanks and proper disposal of the old-existing fuel tanks. This C-store is a wood framed structure with pre-engineered wood roof trusses.The exterior facade features a little bit of everything including EIFS, split face CMU exterior with Cultured stone around the perimeter of the building. This store features the new food convenience equipment that includes coffee for early morning commutes or just a simple Thirst Buster. It also features walk in coolers and freezers for your everyday needs. This project was oriented on roughly 1.5 acres that included 1,000 cubic yards of concrete paving and had two entrances, one at Argent Blvd and one at Okatie Hwy. There is an established retail center that remained open as construction commenced. The coordination was vital in order for the construction to not become a hinderance to the patron entering/departing the retail spaces that resided. We were able to maximize the lot orientation to provide as many parking spaces as feasibly possible and stay within the code compliance for ADA based on the site layout that was established. This project has included new fuel tank installation as well as 6 fuel dispensers and canopy to cover the fuel dispenser patrons as well as each structural column was covered in the cultured stone to match the building. Clifton Construction was able to work with Circle K to demolish the existing building and rebuild the new c-store in an aggressive time frame from start to finish as well as keep them under budget.
