Tere Price

Superintendent

Tere parents were General Contractors and he was raised on construction sites after school and through the summers. Tere started his first company in 1981 building decks, fences, and doing handyman type work. In 1992 he started a general contractor company building new homes, apartment complexes and light commercial remodels. He spent 2 years as a journeyman carpenter with the Carpenters Local #283, building the Mox facility. Tere is one of 6 children and a proud father of 2 Children. He has been with SD Clifton Construction as superintendent since 2013.

Steve Clifton is grounded in a passion for construction and building. He leads with Christian principles, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. Beyond business, Augusta, Georgia, is home for him and his wife, Molly.

Educational Background

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Auburn University. This foundational education has guided his professional journey.

Professional Experience

Steve began his career at Construction Management Services in Hilton Head, South Carolina, initially working in estimating and purchasing. Recognized for his abilities, he quickly rose to the position of Superintendent, overseeing subcontractors and material suppliers. He then moved to Austin Construction and Development Company, where he climbed the ranks from Superintendent to Project Manager and eventually to Vice President of the Commercial Construction Division. Here, he managed projects ranging from renovations to new constructions, in both residential and commercial sectors. During his tenure, the company’s annual volume grew to over $16 million.

Key Achievements

Steve took a leap of faith in June 1986 to start his own construction business in Augusta, Georgia. Building on Christian principles, integrity, and hard work, he has sustained and grown his business for over 20 years, largely through client referrals.
